The Pousada do Pilar Hotel is a charming building dating from the end of XIX century, nestled in the Historic Centre of Salvador. In those times it was originally built to house three middle class families and has been recently restored now to shelter the hotel.

The partners who run the Pousada do Pilar Hotel, whom are concerned about its historic and cultural value, preserved the features of the building while renovating it. In the rooms of this Salvador’s hotel you are able to see parts of the preserved walls, which together with the nice decor, make the ambience even more singular and homelike.

Near to the Convento do Carmo, an XVIII century building, the Pousada do Pilar Hotel is well located in the Historic Centre.   • In case of a booking rescheduling in a period of one year, the value paid can be used without charges
  • In case of refunds, a 20% fee will be charged


For cancellations requested in less than 32 days before check-in and No-shows: the total value of the booking will be charged.
