In this exquisite Salvador hotel, attention to detail was considered sacrosanct throughout the two-year renovation. The rooms recall the main phases in the history of the Portuguese explorers and their trade exchanges with Africa and Asia. The rooms have been given names such as Cape Verde, Guinea, Angola, Mozambique, as well as Ceuta, Ormus, Goa, Calicut, Sri Lanka, Malaga, Timor, Macau and Nagasaki, which are all destinations on the Spice Route.

The rules for cancellation during high season are as follows:
- for cancellation made up to 15 days before arrival, 10% of full booking will be charged
- for cancellation made up to eight days before arrival, 60% of full booking will be charged
- for cancellation made less than eight days before arrival and in case of no-show, full booking amount will be charged.
The rules for cancellation during low season are as follows:
- for cancellation made up to eight days before arrival, 10% of full booking will be charged
- for cancellation made less than eight days before arrival and in case of no-shows, 60% of full booking will be charged
Late check-out policy:
Late check-out is subject to availability.
The additional cost for this facility is as followings:
- Late check-out after 14:00 - 50% of the daily room rate.
- Late check-out after 18:00 - full daily room rate.
Children policy:
Free accommodation will be provided in the parents' room for children up to 11 years old, maximum one child per room.
