Casa das Portas Velhas is all about tradition and local culture. The building itself is a XVIII century manor that was restored into a charming Salvador hotel. In order to preserve the atmosphere of an authentic manor from the past, the installations feature selected antiques and a very strict art concept, without compromising on comfort.
This is literally a house of old doors (a rough translation of the hotel's name), since actual old doors from all over the historic centre were restored and extensively used in the never-seen-before decoration.
Aware of customer's demands, the administration provides several plans for daily rates, as well as a high standard gourmet restaurant.

Late check-outs are usually not allowed.
- One infant up to 2 years old is free of charge - only on the Luxury room (on previous request)
- One child from 2 to 12 years old pays 25% of the Luxury double room, accompanied by 2 adults (on previous request)
Cancellations can be requested up to 6 days before check-in.
- In case of a booking rescheduling in a period of one year, the value paid can be used without charges (guests will need to pay the difference between rate adjustments, if applicable).
- In case of refunds, a 20% fee will be charged (paying the difference of rates' adjustments, if there is any)
For cancellations requested in less than 6 days before check-in and No-shows: the total value of the booking will be charged.
This cancellation policy does not apply for holidays or special packages.
Bookings are not available during the following periods:
- From 1st to 6th September, 2010
