Tô no Pelô

For the first time the Pelourinho area will be occupied by artists selected froman open competition. This is a new type of cultural event called “Tô no Pelô.” Local and national artists and independent producers were selected in 2008. There are 22 artists who will show their work in the streets and squares of the Historic Centre of Salvador in an event that includes presentations of 130 music concerts, theatre, visual arts, dance, humour, and circus performance. The presentations are for free or affordable prices.
Until the end of this year, a new announcement will be openfor projects’ selection to the next edition of this event, which will take place in Pelourinho from March to April 2010.
