“Quarta que Dança”

Promoted by FUNCEB (Cultural Foundation of Bahia), the project "Quarta que Dança" presents works selected through an announcement contest held annually by the foundation, which belongs to the Culture Secretary of Bahia state. This year the project had a total of 60 subscriptions, from which only 20 were chosen.
The event will include works from the state's capital and countryside as well as workshops and lectures. To make access more democratic, it will be held in public spaces with free entrances, and presentations in the Sala do Coro do TCA will cost only BRL 2,00 (full price) and BLR 1,00 (half price).
The project "Quarta que Dança" was created in 1998 aiming to stimulate the creation and professionalization of the dance in Bahia, and also the emergence of new talents. Since its formulation, the initiative has had 150 presentations from different groups and artistic propositions. The shows always happen every Wednesdays, until August 11.
