Place of event: Salvador
In order to celebrate the month of the Theater, Salvador will host the 2nd edition of the National Theater Festival of Bahia. Along a week, the city will present 22 performances in 10 different places with free entrance or at popular prices.
The event is sponsored by the Bahia's Cooperative of Theater (CBT), which reunite plays selected from around the country, local plays and series of debates and workshops. About 188 projects were registered from Companies and professional theater groups of different parts of Brazil.
The aim is to bring diversity to the theater in Bahia, to promote artistic exchanges and encourage the formation of an audience in Salvador. The official opening of the 2ndedition of the National Theater Festival in Bahia will happen at Teatro Vila Velha with the play: "De um Lugar para o Outro (From one place to another) directed by José Possi Neto from São Paulo.
The National Exhibition (with 11 performances from Bahia and others from the Santa Catarina, Paraná, Pernambuco and Goias stated) also make part of the Festival, as well as Mostra Cooperativa (with more than ten plays of cooperative groups).
The event will count on debate series between artists and audience, workshops given by the participating groups, addressed to theater atydents and others who are interested in the theme.
