Glauber Cayres - Manager

The art of being a good host is the attention and the details. Glauber Cayres, the manager of the Pousada da Mangueira knows how to do that function. Despite of the short time he has been working there (since February 2010), he talks effortlessly about all the services and the progress of the company, as if he was an old employee. Besides being the manager, he also works at the reception, in direct contact with the guests. He likes to receive his guest in the best way he can, making sure to satisfy their needs and still helping in small things like giving hints of nice restaurants, call the taxi service or recommend some walk or tour.

He was born in Salvador, graduated in Tourism and, before he started in the pousada, he had worked for three years in a travel agency. He has lived in Sao Paulo, where he majored in Tourism Technician, became an operational agent, and accredited guide by Embratur. Glauber had always a desire to work in a hotel, but has never had this chance before. When he knew about the job vacancy in the Pousada da Mangueira, through a newspaper, he sent his resume and ended up being selected.

The way Glauber deals to his guests, always very polite and friendly, allowed him to make many friends, including friends that live abroad, which still keep in touch with him. And if you stay at the Pousada Mangueira you will certainly know Glauber and become his friend as well.
